Milford on Sea - Then & Now

Trace the history of Milford from Domesday Book into the twentieth century. Learn about the history of certain of its buildings and the plans for a great development at the turn of the last century. And find out about one o† our former residents who was one of this nation's unsung heros, whose home was at Newlands.

Views from the Beach House

Standing at what is now called The Beach House in Milford at the turn of the last century you would have seen three other prominent buildings. Learn about all four, the Beach House and the White House which have survived the passage of time and the Victoria Hotel and Rookcliff which have sadly succumbed to the demolishers axe.

Each presentation is delivered by Chris, who will also answer questions, Paul will be there in support to look after the technical bits! All talks are illustrated with around 50 PowerPoint slides and typically last from 30 – 45 Minutes. 

We can connect to your communal TV using HDMI or a projection system. You may also have guessed that we can be fully self-contained and bring our own projector, screen and sound amplification if necessary to suit most venues – even outdoors!

Please Note: We do need to make a nominal charge for each of these talks towards the costs of delivery, these costs will be advised when we know the details of your requirement.
